hello sweet souls & welcome to this monthly "By His Grace" segment with my sweet sister in Christ, Naomi.
we’re two friends walking in faith together, who hope to captivate you with our conversation.
in this segment we'll be praying together; sharing how God is moving in our lives; reflecting on how Jesus has shown us the true path in recent experiences; scripture that has captured us; insights that have humbled us and the raw reality of our faith, as best as we can.
today, the Holy Spirit guided us through a wonderful conversation on friendships. i thought i’d include timestamps in this episode because it was filled with so much fruit that seemed to go in all directions, but that i truly think links altogether so beautifully. so you will find them below - enjoy!
01:27: the shift that happens in all relationships when you begin to prioritise God in Your life
04:30: ‘a good friend is a blessing from God’ - we often fall short in glorifying God for our wholesome friendships that aren’t faith-centred
07:57: the necessity of faithfulness in our friendships: ‘it isn’t in what we say, it’s in what we do’
14:21: the neglected meaning behind The Temple of the Living God scripture in 2 Corinthians;
- 17:20: we are all children of God and we are all sinners; to become known by God we have to acknowledge that part of our human nature
- 25:15: the devil uses our God-given qualities (such as logic and intellect) to thwart our faith as even he fears us growing closer to Him
- 35:35: clarity on the scripture: we can pray for God to intervene and to be the guide of all of our friendships
38:08: how we navigate the yearning for friends to come to faith
43:03: Jesus’ glory is proven to be bigger than our terms & conditions
50:20:
“I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”
(Matthew 17:20)
